Compare some of the more recent successes that were aimed at females without having to compromise anything in the hopes of securing a male audience to help sustain sales. The whole shounen group vibe along with the harem thing are typical ingredients that we're currently seeing in a number of anime for women (otome), or anime with large female followings (sports/shounen), and is something that DMMd has as well.
